There is a sickness in this world that has spread all over this world. And that sickness is sin. Many people think they know the cure, but they don’t. There is only one cure, and that is Jesus, because His blood turned us white as snow, if we will believe that He died on the cross to set us free and that He rose again three days later. To be set free once and for all, just believe.
Everyone talks about all these sicknesses in the world, but they never pay attention to the one that has been around ever since Adam and Eve sinned. And it spread all over the world and it is causing problems. We see lots of TV commercials for medicine to fight sickness and medicine to make you feel better or look better, but the sickness that is the most important is being ignored. It’s most important because it has spread everywhere and is affecting everyone. Sin is a sickness that kills and this sin-sickness spreads like germs. All the lies, disobedience, jealousy, hatred, and all the other sins are hurting people. Sin separates people from each other and is separates people from God.
Sin is hurting God, the person who sinned, and the person who was sinned against. It’s hurting God because it separates us from Him, but He wants to be with us. We want eternal life with God but if we are separated from Him by sin we will go to hell, and that hurts us forever. It hurts the person who was sinned against because it hurts their relationship with the person who hurt them with the sin.
Lots of people try to find cure for sin by doing everything right and working your way out but even that is still sin because you haven’t repented from your sin and believed in Jesus’ salvation for you. Jesus is the only cure.
“On hearing this, Jesus said to them, ‘It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.’” – Mark 2:17
“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” – Romans 10:9-10
